I’ve always loved visiting Vegas – though not for the gambling, shot gun weddings or party scene on the strip. But because there’s so much competition from one hotel to the next, it’s a unique chance to stay in luxury for an affordable price.
But nothing has ever been this affordable – discount travel site Hotwire has gone a little crazy (but let’s face it, Vegas inspires all kinds of crazy!) and launched a ‘Million Dollar Sale’ – they’re investing a million dollars to offset the cost of 5 star hotels so travelers can book them at just $50 a night!!!
London is all the buzz at the moment. But honestly, it always has been! The cultural heartland of the UK, this gargantuan, bustling city is jam-packed with a seemingly endless array of hotspots, and a thousand things to do.
A thriving cosmopolitan, the city is bursting with world-class attractions, edgy fashion, and a combination of modern day architecture and majestic buildings which date back nearly two millennia. No other city is full of this much excitement or allure.
But one incredibly difficult decision while in London, is chooing where to stay. Finding a London hotel with a great location is vital to an unforgettable British holiday.
We’ve chosen to review the H10 London Waterloo; a stylish luxury boutique, quintessentially British, and perfectly positioned on London’s famous Waterloo Road close to all the iconic landmarks you know. And, great news for those traveling to London before December 2018, Luxury Escapes is offering 61% off your four or seven night stay.
Whether you’re planning on staying in Paris for a few days, a few weeks or a few months, staying in an apartment is the best way to get a taste of life as a local, among locals. Hotels are still popular, of course, but if you’ve ever dreamed of living the Paris lifestyle, it’s now very easy and affordable for travelers to pick up the keys to a proper home!
With more space, a kitchen, and a washing machine, more travelers are choosing to stay in apartments over hotels (especially in Paris), and it’s become quite a popular trend. So much so that rental agencies like Paris Attitude, who cater to travelers, have gone from a portfolio of 20 properties 10 years ago, to 7,000 today!
And why not?! You get to spread out in some of the city’s most famous residential buildings for often a fraction of the normal nightly hotel price. And you have far more choice when it comes to location, with apartments on every street corner, with views of your favorite monument / attraction.
There is a definite shift away from hotels in favor of apartment rentals, so we’ve covered some of the best apartment rentals in Paris for travelers.
Shaped to resemble the sail of a ship, the Burj Al Arab Jumeirah is an iconic luxury hotel, instantly recognizable as the most luxurious hotel in the world. In fact, it’s one of the world’s very few 7 star hotels.
Located on a manmade island, linked to the mainland by a private bridge, the distinctive sail-shaped silhouette is more than just a stunning hotel, it is a symbol of modern Dubai.
With the world’s largest fleet of Rolls Royces, 24 karat gold ipods, butler service, exquisite dining, and a rooftop helipad, spending an evening here is no doubt a pricey affair, but worth every penny if you’re looking for the ultimate luxurious splurge.
So what would it cost to stay in the most luxurious hotel in the world? The most expensive suite goes for $19,000 a night. But for those wanting to experience gold-plated opulence at its finest, Luxury Escapes is currently running a deal for $3,499 for two nights. It’s the holiday of a lifetime, and possibly, your chance to stay in the world’s most luxurious hotel!!
India is a magical destination, known for its grand architecture and rich cultural heritage. And one of the best ways to experience both is with a stay in a magnificent palace hotel.
Before the Republic of India was born, this was a region divided into 565 kingdoms. So there were (and still are) many opulent palaces, which have been converted into luxury hotels today.
The following is a list of the most incredible palace hotels in India, which will make make even the humblest traveler feel like a Maharaja. These hotels were actually once home to India’s royalty, and in some cases still are.
As you walk along Hobart’s waterfront, the breeze carries a thousand captivating stories of those who were there before; from convicts, crooks, and captains of industry, Tasmania’s history is made up of a cast of remarkable characters, each with an intriguing story to tell.
Though the best way to immerse yourself in the fascinating world of Tasmanian stories is not at a museum; it’s at the world’s first storytelling hotel.
Nestled on the waterfront of Hobart’s Franklin Wharf, and inspired by the history and colourful characters of Tasmania’s past, MACq 01 is an exciting new luxury hotel, and the perfect base for exploring Hobart and surrounds.
An ultra-exclusive $45 million project, doors have only recently opened on what is Hobart’s hottest new boutique hotel.
It’s rare these days to find a destination where you can go from a downtown setting to literally being lost in the jungle in a matter of hours. But Peru does just that; a country which blends a diverse mixture of cultures, from the high plateaus of the Andes to the jungles surrounding the Amazon. And it’s wildlife is as colorful and vibrant as its cities and culture too.
But for all its diversity, this means attempting to tackle Peru on your own can be daunting. With so much to see and do you run the risk of missing a lot of what the country has to offer should you choose to do it alone.
So to really dive in, and make sure you don’t miss a thing, we recommend booking a tour. And the great thing for anyone wishing to travel this year, is that Luxury Escapes is offering 20% off the tour we chose.
So you’ve planned for the most amazing adventures of a lifetime, enjoying all the most exciting, challenging activities the world has to offer.
I’m talking weeks skiing in the Alps, scaling and clambering up mountains in the northernmost parts of Scotland, hiking through Italy, or a month surfing down in Cornwall. There are some truly amazing experiences to be had out there.
But then that age old maxim rings true. You need a vacation from your vacation. After you return home you’re drained, you’re grubby, your feet have developed huge callouses and blisters.
Overall, you’re really not feeling your most attractive. Sure, there’s the whole warrior-woman, fresh out of the wild aesthetic, but it’s not the fourteenth century, and you’re really not feeling it.
That’s where a trip to the spa can come in handy. Perfect for dealing with those post-adventure blues, and for acclimatising back to normal life, a spa trip can also get you feeling healthy and attractive again.
Paris is one of the world’s most iconic destinations, inspiring travel fantasies and capturing hearts and imaginations all over the world. But with so many highlights it can be a challenge to experience the city like a local would. And with 20 million odd travelers who visit the city every year, I wanted a more authentic experience than your average tourist would.
Short of moving to France (tempting), Cobblestone Paris offers that authentic experience even if you’re just visiting for a weekend; they rent impeccably furnished and conveniently located apartments which allow travelers to experience Paris the way a Parisian would.
For most people, the ideal vacation includes escaping to a sun drenched paradise, and at the mere mention of paradise, Bali instantly comes to mind.
Yes, Bali has beaches, surfing, diving, and resorts great and small, but it’s the scenic south-west, in Nusa Dua, where one resort out does them all.
Grand Hyatt Bali is the crown jewel of resorts in Nusa Dua, though this incredible 42-acre resort is more of an intimate beautiful Balinese river village than your typical resort.
With 5 star facilities, and a world-class shopping and convention centre at its front door, the hotel blends Balinese hospitality, tropical scenery, and modern convenience while oozing luxury across the board. And then there’s 650 meters of private white-sand beach, and activities galore.

Traveling the world may sound glamorous, and many moments are indeed. However let’s not pretend that there aren’t just as many moments where you begin questioning whether all the headaches are worth it!
I long for the day when I win the lottery and can fly First Class, with fancy additions like compression socks, slippers, pajamas, and those seemingly much more high tech headphones. Upon seeing them on my last flight I was jealous enough that I finally looked into replacing my free tangled mess given to me by the flight attendant.
I came across Sennheiser’s PXC 550 Wireless noise cancelling headphones. A German based company that specialises in premium audio products, there are headphones, and then there are these.
Famed for it’s fine white sand beaches and crystal clear waters, Koh Samui has become the most popular destination for a luxury getaway in Thailand, and as such, has become the island with the most stunning beachfront resorts.
Ultra-luxurious properties line the tropical coastline, with infinity pool vistas and direct access to the type of beaches you find featured in ads.
Because the standard of accommodation across Koh Samui is high, it can be tempting to just book any 5 star room. But if you’re looking to experience true luxury; private infinity pools, personal chefs and an exclusive section of the beach; you should book a private luxury villa instead. And I believe we’ve found the most beautiful villa in Thailand; Villa Acacia – one of the 11 incredible villa’s in the Miskawaan set.

When you stay in the center of a city there are certain things you come to accept. Sacrifices you make for the luxury of staying in the most central location. Like the idea that you’ll likely wake up in the morning to the sound of an urban landscape. And potentially land a room with a carpark view.
But when we saw photos of Crowne Plaza Canberra, it painted a completely different picture of what we had come to expect. Like falling asleep in the heart of the CBD but waking up to breathtaking parkland views. And cracking your window to welcome the morning song of King parrots and Sulphur crested cockatoos.
And while Australia’s capital largely caters to politicians and business travel, leisure travel in Canberra is on the verge of a supersonic boom.

Our trip to Antarctica was bittersweet. We were experiencing the most epic adventure of a lifetime – exploring the most isolated and remote continent on earth, though acutely aware that no trip in the future would ever compare.
I’ve grappled for the past few weeks with how to put the experience into words. Because even though the continent pulls rave reviews, the experience is still undersold. One of the rare destinations which actually exceeds and surpasses the hype.
And I’ll admit, I was apprehensive of traveling to Antarctica. Extraordinarily excited, sure, but I’ve traveled enough to know that you can ruin a destination by building it up in your mind. And the pedestal I’d built for Antarctica was exceptionally high. But we needn’t have been scared. Because the reality of Antarctica didn’t crush the dream – it blew it out of the water.
When it comes to Australia’s best wine producing regions, Western Australia’s Margaret River or South Australia’s Barossa Valley may come to mind. However Australia has more than 60 designated wine regions across the country and many regions on the East coast have also developed a worldwide reputation for award-winning wine.
So while the largest wine production region is South Australia, and Western Australia receives similar fame, don’t discount wine regions along the East Coast. Remember these names!
