Fancy an infinity pool that overlooks a safari view? You’ll be spellbound by the sights of buffalo, leopards and elephants enjoying their own pool time, cooling in the waterhole below.

It’s one thing to witness a safari in the African desert. It’s another to witness these beautiful creatures in their element from an infinity pool!

Belmond Hotel Caruso, Italy

Positioned on a cliff above the town of Ravello, tantalize your sight with a glorious sweeping view of the Amalfi Coast!

Walking on the edge of the pool is as if you are tethering on the edge of the cliff. The infinity pool blends so well with the Mediterranean Sea below – it’s as if the pool, the sea and the sky are one.

Crowned ‘the best swimming pools in the world’ by Condé Nast Traveller, and number one on Trip Advisor’s list of ’10 jaw-dropping hotel pools’, this is a Southeast Asian favourite.

With the jungle surrounding you, let the cacophony of nature calls fill your senses as you lounge in the infinity pool and let the water cascade over your head in the bottom pool’s waterfall.

Al Maha, a Luxury Collection Desert Resort & Spa, Dubai

This luxury desert resort doesn’t just have one infinity pool, it has 43. On top of the main one located by the spa, each of their 42 suites has its very own, smaller version of a temperature-controlled infinity pool, about 0.9m in depth.

Enjoy romantic private dinners by your tented suite or on the deck overlooking your infinity plunge pool.

  7. The Infinity pool from Switzerland all the way! One more reason to visit this beautiful country.

    • It seems to have the popular vote from the comments section here!

  8. All of those infinity pools are incredible! But I like Belmond Hotel Caruso in Italy the most. It looks so beautiful and peaceful!

    • The Belmond Hotel Caruso is incredible – beautiful and peaceful it is! Definitely one of those bucket list hotels to have on your list :)

  9. All these pools are incredibly amazing. I am looking forward to visiting The Cambrian Hotel Adelboden in Switzerland. Will share the photos with you soon :D

  10. The Marina Bay Sands is probably top of mind these days when someone mentions an infinity pool but that view of the Swiss Alps, WOW! One of my favourites is the O’Reillys Rainforest Retreat in the Lamington National Park in Australia, the pool itself is gorgeous of course and you look out over the extensive valley below with nothing but trees and nature as far as the eye can see – oh and in the evening the most perfect sunsets with the westerly aspect.

    • Agreed – I think Marina Bay Sands is probably the most iconic, but Switzerland wins in my mind for having the most beautiful view!

I’ll have to check out O’Reillys Rainforest Retreat in Lamington National Park, especially now that we’re focusing on travel around Aus. Thanks for the tip – it sounds serene!

  11. Ah! I an partial to the one in Switzerland – but all beautiful. Thanks for sharing.

    • Can’t beat the Cambrian Hotel Adelboden! Glad you enjoyed the post :)

  13. Ohhh we were just in Adelboden two weekends ago! That infinity pool at the Cambrian hotel in Adelboden looks gorgeous! We leave in Bern and are only an hour away so this pool might be our favorite from now on! I just cant decide though when it would be the nicest time to have a dip in that infinity pool overlooking the Swiss alps…

    • If you’re only an hour away that’s like practically in your backyard :D Maybe a nice long weekend for a birthday or anniversary, or just to check out the pool at some stage :D

  14. The Swiss Alps and Dubai are my picks out of these ones! But there is also an amazing infinity pool at the Intercontinental in Tahiti

    • The Swiss Alps I think takes my favorite too :D … thanks for the heads up on the Intercontinental in Tahiti – will have to add that one to my list!
