One Day In Toronto: JustFly Helps You Spend A Day In The Big Smoke

Lots of times, travellers find themselves stuck in a city for a day. Whether its waiting on a connecting flight, bad weather, or just a plain old delay, it can happen and its important you have a plan to make the best of it!

Toronto, Ontario is, honestly, a great place top get stuck. Canada’s largest city, Toronto is a booming metropolis with something for everyone. With that in mind, I spoke with JustFlyJustFly reviews attractions all over the world so they can inform travellers about all the options they have when visiting a city. They helped me make an itinerary for a day in Toronto!

Breakfast:

First up, for a big day out you need a big breakfast. The Lakeview gives you just that. A 24 hour diner, The Lakeview is conveniently located on Ossington and is easily reachable via the TTC.

In terms of food, this place understands eggs benedict, with multiple variations of the dish on the menu. Another good idea, chicken and waffles. The food goes down great with a mimosa or caesar as well!

Morning:

After a hulking breakfast, JustFly recommends a lazy morning. This means a short walk to Trinity Bellwoods park. This huge park lies between Dundas and Queen West and is the place to be on a hot Summer day. Grab a book, bring a blanket, and take it easy!

Lunch:

Nothing is better at lunch than a burrito, and luckily for you, Toronto is a burrito lovers dream town.

Coming from the park, head West and try Fat Bastard Burrito Company. Their burritos come in three sizes, allowing you to eat at your own pace. Pro tip, the huge burrito is huge. Don’t go there unless you are ready!

Afternoon:

So, you are on Queen West, it’s time to make your way downtown. JustFly recommends you take your time doing this and walk East on Queen and take in the massive variety of shops you can explore.

These are some of the coolest stores in Toronto and it also leads you straight downtown where you’ll be heading for dinner.

Dinner:

While it used to be called Guu, Kinka Izakaya has taken over as the new name of this amazing Japanese restaurant. If you are banking on a quiet dinner you won’t get that at Kinka. The staff announce every entry with a loud yell, and they keep the energy going throughout dinner, giving the place an energy that is contagious.

The food itself is top notch and plentiful. Overall. it’s a great place to eat and an even better place to party.

Evening:

What’s the best way to spend an evening in Toronto? Hands down, a trip to Rogers Centre to see some Toronto Blue Jays baseball.

JustFly’s advice? Get there and stock up on nosebleed seats for you and as many people as you want to bring with you. This is the best way to guarantee you can have a ruckus time. Don’t forget your ball glove!
