  2. I’ve been to the UAE once but can totally see why you would recommend it for a honeymoon. There is luxury and opulence there like nowhere else in the world, for sure! There are so many over-the-top experience you can have there, that it will certainly be a memorable holiday, even if you have to be a little more modest than is comfortable (honestly, I had no problem with that at all, other than being hot in my more covered up clothes!)

    • Absolutely – nothing is ever done in halves in the UAE!! And honestly, I really don’t think it’s a big sacrifice to dress a little more modestly either. The sheer opulence of everything on offer in Dubai is worth respecting their cultural norms :)

  3. I’m not much for sand and desert locations (tropical beach girl myself) but the more I read on Dubai the more interesting it sounds, especially the overnight desert camp. That’s definitely an adventure you can’t have elsewhere!

    • Dubai is a world unto itself – a world of absolute contrasts where you can enjoy the tropical beach vacation during the day if you want, and then go dune bashing and stay in the desert overnight.

      Highly recommend it as a unique experience :)

  5. My friends and I have been talking about going to Dubai. I have never been on a hot air balloon and it is part of my bucket list so yeah, I would love to try that. Romantic Honeymoon, wait up, let me first find a groom.

    • Well you can definitely scope it out before you find the groom … especially if you’ve never been ina hot air balloon! Something amazing about seeing the vastness of the desert from a birds eye view :)

  15. Love Dubai! Dubai is a perfect destination to travel for all lovers, couples, family etc. But this is actually the not only for honeymoon. I think. Bcoz last month I had been to Dubai and enjoyed a lot by desert safari, dhow cruise, skydiving, desert ski and theme park Dubai etc.

  16. Dubai is a great example of how we can reclaim the deserts and make something meaningful out of barren land. To me Dubai seem like an oasis in the middle of vastness. Beautiful and my love for Desserts. Never been to Dubai but closer home the Suguta Sand Dunes and the Suguta valley is one of my fav places in Kenya. Great article Megan and hope i can experience Dubai soon.
