Rio De Janeiro is a legendary city. And with good reason.

The physical beauty of it’s beaches and mountains is unsurpassed, and it’s cinematic cityscape is the ultimate picture perfect postcard.

It’s shops and restaurants are full of delightful surprises, and the relaxed vibe of its people is infectious. Luscious rainforest fronts onto the deep blue sea, and the seductive sound of the samba pulses through the city late into the night.

  5. I think Rio de Janeiro is one of those places you just have to visit once in your lifetime. I’ve not been yet but it looks so colorful and cheerful … shame you can only win as a US resident :-(

    • Totally agree – I hope you get the chance to travel here soon – it truly is just such an alive city which bursts with energy, colour and lively atmosphere!

  6. Hi Megan! Yes, Rio de Janeiro is one of the most beautiful cities on earth! I decided to settle here after traveling the world for a few years and I just love it! Besides the beaches and mountains, the local culture is amazing and the “cariocas” are pretty friendly! The only downside is that there are many assaults. Anyway, it’s a great city to visit!

    Keep it up,
    Miguel

    • Glad to hear you’re loving life in Rio Miguel! It really does have so much going for it! Yes, the robberies and assaults are something to improve on, though I think that crime is something every city is trying to tackle at the moment. Just need to keep our wits about us when we’re traveling and practice common sense to stay safe :)

Will let you know if we make it back at any point!

  7. These photos are absolutely stunning! We’re probably biased but we absolutely love Rio de Janeiro we and hope more people come and check it out. It literally has everything you ever would want and need: beaches, history, parties, food… we can’t get enough.

    • Rio is an easy place to fall in love with! So totally understand the bias :D
