It’s Super Easy

Flexiroam X works off a one year subscription ($9.99 USD), which comes with a free starter pack made up of an X Microchip and SIM sticker. This micro-chip embedded film is thinner than a sheet of A4 paper, and easily sticks to your regular SIM card (this does not affect the performance of your regular SIM).

Once you attach the X Microchip to your regular SIM, you essentially have two SIM cards operating in your phone, and can access mobile data from over 100 countries in the world when you connect to the Flexiroam X SIM.

You can toggle back and forth between both SIM cards without having to physically remove the card from your phone. You’ll only have to apply the Microchip once, and you can keep it in your phone forever, whether you’re using the Flexiroam X SIM or not.

How to Claim Your Free Data

Simple interactions through app earn you free data. For instance, referring a friend will earn you 100MB. You can start using the app a couple of weeks or even months before your trip overseas to start building a bank of data credits. Data lasts for a year so it can be used repeatedly during multiple trips.

If you’re pushed for time though you can purchase a data pack directly via the app – 1GB of data costs $29.99 USD and lasts for 12 months. When you renew the yearly membership, your data rolls over so you don’t lose anything you’ve purchased or accrued.

Things to Keep in Mind

Remember to turn off your phone’s Wi-Fi, as this takes precedence over mobile data. It took me a while to figure out that this was why Flexiroam wasn’t connecting!

Even though you have two SIM cards in your phone, you can only use one at a time. This means while you’re using Flexiroam X, you won’t be able to receive incoming calls or texts from your local SIM. It’s easy to quickly switch back and forth, but  keep in mind that switching to your local SIM card could incur expensive roaming charges.

The starter pack is free, though cost of shipping varies depending on your country. Shipping costs start from $5 USD.

Flexiroam randomly release free data codes on their social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter so be sure to keep an eye out for those codes.

In a Nutshell
