  1. A luxury safari camp would definitely be something we would love to experience and splurge on! The experiences look incredible!

    • We’ve done camping before for African Safari, but the luxury eco lodges would be a dream!

  2. I’ve got a soft spot in heart for art deco. Claridges sounds awesome! I can almost smell the pastries and espresso.

    • Hope you have the chance to get there soon! So delicious!! Nothing beats English afternoon tea!

    • Glad you enjoyed the post Danik! I know right, wouldn’t it be nice!!

  4. yes all of the above. My favourite would be the luxury safari, because I don’t think I’d want to go on a safari any othe rway…

    • Totally agree! We’ve done camping before re African safari, but the luxury lodges would be a completely different experience!

  5. Never thought about renting an island! That is actually a new dream now. Al of these places are amazing. We can dream, right?

    • We can indeed!

  6. We travel hack, which is awesome because we often get to “splurge” on beautiful hotels, resorts and luxury stays for free, when typically we would never pay for such a thing. I think it’s fun to have just a few days when traveling to get pampered and rejuvenated!

    • I totaly agree with you Leanna – everyone deserves to be pampered and rejuvenated every now and then!

Travel hacking is a great way to upgrade your experiences and enjoy a little luxury at a fraction of the regular price. We’re trying to up our travel hacking game this year :)

  7. Oh wow.The luxury safari camp in Rwanda I would love to experience. I think, shopping and tea is nice but not an breathtaking moment. But spotting the wildlife and nature in Africa will be a once in a life time moment….wow.

    • I agree with you Sabine – wildlife encounters are always my favorite and most memorable travel experiences :)

  8. I am definitely a splurged when I find it is worth the plunge and going to Clairidge’s is high n my bucket list. ;) I must have afternoon tea there, too. A new friend of mine in Panama was just last night selling me on visiting Burj Al Arab at least once in my life. Slowly Dubai is moving up my bucket list. Nice post. ;)

    • Dubai is definitely THE destination if you’re looking for a splurge – everything there is luxury at it’s finest, and they have some of the most decadent hotels and travel experiences in the world :)

Hope you have the chance to visit soon! X

  9. The luxury camp in Rwarda sounds realy cool, it makes it possible for people to stay in right connection with the nature and wildlife. Yet, the Burj Al Arab totally wins – I mean, who would not like to get feel of 7 star hotel?

    • Absolutely – nowhere else in the world will you experience a 7 star hotel!!

  10. Okay! I think if I could pick one it would have to be a private island in Fiji. Now I just have to get the budget :)

    • I’ll go halves with you and we can share :D

  11. I don’t know which one of these I would choose! I love afternoon tea, so I’d definitely consider London… but the 7 star hotel in Dubai?! And I’ve always wanted to do a luxury safari and stay in a palace… fine, I’ll just become a zillionaire and visit them all! :D

    • If you become a zillionaire take me along too! :D

  12. If I save $1000 everyday for the next 10 years I can live out my new dream, renting a private island in Fiji. But now that I think about it, with that kind of money I will just buy my own private island. Yeah I think that would be better!

Either way, renting a private island is pretty cool!

    • Very true – tell you what, we can both save for 5 years and then go halves … half a private island is just as good right!! :D

  13. Yup! Half is just as good!! I am always up for working less ;)

    • Done deal :D

  14. The Burj Al Arab is the best place for traveling. I was traveled their last year and I enjoy my travel a lot. It’s really the amazing place. I suggest to all to visit that place.

    • So glad you enjoyed your time at the Burj Al Arab David :) Really is a phenomenal travel experience, especially if you’re splurging and don’t often get to enjoy a luxury experience :)
