Sunday Snapshot: Sanibel Island

This past week was the week my parents came to town!  Having flown to Florida from Australia, I was eager to show them around my corner of the globe and show off my new ‘stomping ground’.

The highlight of our wonderful week was experiencing a Sanibel Island Sunset, and catching up while walking barefoot along one of the world’s most spectacular beach settings.

  4. You picked a great place to show off!! Lovely beach there. Great sunset too. I’m from Florida’s east coast and really enjoy the sunsets when I travel to the western side of the state.

    • The eastern side definitely has some great sunsets! We love Sanibel Island; one of our favorite spots in the State. Though we did also enjoy regular weekend trips to the west – you guys have some fab beaches!!

  5. What a beautiful place! I remember my parents going there a long time ago, but I’ve never been there. I’m a lover of those sunsets, so it’s on my list now!

    Thanks for sharing :)

    • It’s such a special place indeed. We lived 5 minutes away in Fort Myers for about a year, and these are some of my fondest memories, visiting the beaches on Sanibel.

I hope you have the chance to visit soon Charles :)
